Swim, bike, and run! The Western Triathlon Club is geared towards people of all athletic abilities, and workouts are designed with many levels in mind. We have daily workouts and you can attend as many as you'd like each week. If all three sports are too much, you can also join us just for running or swimming! We also participate in the University Multisport Series, so you can have a chance to race and experience some fun and friendly competition. Our workouts will begin with a variety of levels in mind and we will progress throughout the year, so you don't have to be an expert to join.

About the President
Hi! My name is Avery and I am in my third year here at Western! I joined the Triathlon Club in my first year as a way to stay in shape and meet new people. I think the best part about the club is the supportive and friendly atmosphere. No matter your experience with any of the sports, the club is welcoming of all levels! When I started in my first year I had barely biked before, and now biking is my favourite of the three! I am looking forward to meeting you at a Tri Club practice, and please reach out if you have any questions!
Fun Fact: I accidentally put my bike shorts on backwards in the first transition of my first ever triathlon, and did the entire bike and run portion of the race with them on this way!
- Pizza Party or Potluck – the first social of the year is usually a pizza party or potluck so that team members can get together in a casual setting
- Splash & Dash – each year, the club hosts two splash and dashes to allow members an opportunity to practice racing. The distance changes but are generally about a 15 minute swim and a 15 minute run.
- Formal – to celebrate the year, the team goes for a formal dinner each April to enjoy a dinner with friends and team mates

Monday: Swim Practice 6:15-7:15 AM, Strength Training 7:30-8:30 AM - Studio 2
Tuesday: Run Practice - 4:30-6:00 PM - Meet at Rec. Centre Front Desk
Wednesday: Spin Class 6:45-8:00 AM - Spin Bikes on Forth Floor
Thursday: Swim Practice 6:15-7:15 AM - Pool Lanes 4-8 Strength Training, 7:30-8:30 AM - Studio 2
Friday: Run Practice 12:00-1:30 PM - Meet at Rec. Centre Front Desk
Saturday: Swim Practice 3:00-4:00 PM
Sunday: Spin Class 11:30 AM-12:30 PM - Spin Bikes on Forth Floor, Run Practice, 12:30-1:15 PM
You may attend as many or as few practices each week as you'd like. There are also options to participate in only the run and only the swim practices.

Club registration is available at Campus Recreation, Membership Services in the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC). Membership in Sport Clubs is open to Western students and fee-paying adults (minimum 18 years of age) who have a valid Campus Recreation membership.

All memberships will be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus a 10% administration fee*. After this 14-day trial period, partial refunds will be issued for medical reasons only (with written documentation).
* The 10% administration fee may be waived if transferring to another program/Club or leaving a credit on account for future purchases.
On occasion, certain facilities may not be available due to maintenance, special events, etc. Campus Recreation will provide notice whenever possible, but memberships will not be extended.
