Description

It's fun, different and focused! Have fun, meet new friends and try a new sport in this unique blend of strategy, hand-eye coordination, and cardiovascular fitness. People of all skill levels are welcome to join this recreational club; beginners included! Come out and take a stab at sword fighting!

Meet the Executive Team

President: Hello, I’m Rachel MIller and I have been fencing for about 5 years, and this will be
my third year in the fencing club. I am really excited to see both new and familiar faces and help
grow our community. Can't wait to see everyone out there!

Past Events

The Fencing Club runs 2 tournaments per year (one near the end of every semester). Along with hours of fun and competition, these tournaments are accompanied with prizes. We also have occasional social events, which have previously included:

  • Barakat Restaurant
  • Fleetway Bowling
  • Escape Room
  • Laser Tag

Fees

Full-Year Membership: $85.00 + HST

Fall Term Membership: $55.00 + HST

Winter Term Membership: $55.00 + HST

Practice Schedule

Mondays: 8:00-9:30 PM

Wednesdays: 8:00-10:00 PM

Saturdays: 3:00-5:00 PM

Locations are provided on your membership purchase receipt.

Registration

Registrations for Recreational Sport Clubs will be available online only starting on Monday, September 21. You can visit Western Sports & Recreation (westernmustangs.ca) to register. Payment options are VISA and MasterCard credit cards (VISA Debit and other debit or credit cards are not accepted).

 

Refund Policy

All memberships can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus a 10% administration fee*. After this 14-day trial period, partial refunds will be issued for medical reasons only (with written documentation).

*The 10% administration fee may be waived if transferring to another program/Club.

 

On occasion, certain facilities may not be available due to maintenance, special events, etc. Campus Recreation will provide notice whenever possible, but memberships will not be extended.
