New Club Application

Club applications for the 2027-2028 academic year are OPEN JANuary 19  – FebRUARY 28 .

This page provides information about submitting an application for a new Recreational Sport Clubs to be ratified under our Recreational Sport Clubs Program. The Recreational Sport Clubs Coordinator will review all applications submitted.

If more information is required, you will be contacted via email and could be asked to set up a meeting to further discuss specific details about your club. Only strong applications will be recommended for review by a Ratification Committee including the Recreational Sport Clubs Coordinator, other full-time staff in the Recreation Department, and a student representative. If successful, you will be required to meet with the Recreational Sport Clubs Coordinator to go through next steps.

Please fill out the application to the best of your ability. Only serious and complete applications will be considered. Submission of this application does NOT guarantee approval.

Please proofread and review your application before submitting. Once completed, please email a copy of your application to sportclubs@uwo.ca. The following documents should be attached to your email submission:

◊ Proposed Club Constitution (refer to section A.3)
◊ Proposed Club Activities Plan (refer to section B.2)
◊ Club’s Projected Budget (refer to section C.1)

Deadline to apply is February 28, 2027.

Timelines:

  • Applications open on January 19, 2027
  • Applications close on Feburary 28, 2027 at 11:59 PM (hard deadline)
  • Applications will be reviewed during the month of March
  • Decisions will be emailed to all applicants before the end of April
