Physiotherapy

Health Services at Western offers on-site physiotherapy for students, staff and faculty. Physiotherapy promotes wellness, mobility and independent function. Physiotherapists are health professionals who provide assessment and treatment to individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. Treatment for those whose movement and function are threatened by aging, sport and work-related injury, disease or environmental factors.

Physiotherapy provides treatement for the following conditions:

  • Any musculoskeletal pain or injury;
  • Neck pain /Whiplash/TMJ syndrome
  • Back pain/sciatica
  • rotator cuff tendonitis/tennis elbow/carpal tunnel
  • Patellofemoral pain syndrome
  • Achilles tendonitis/ Plantar fasciitis
  • Muscle strains/ joint sprains/ arthritis
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
