Request for Proposals
The Request for Proposal (RFP) process facilitated by Procurement Services is an open competitive process which can take a minimum of three months to complete. This timeline can increase substantially depending on the project complexity and availability of resources. It is important to contact Procurement Services early to ensure your timelines can be met.
Stages in the RFP Process with minimum timelines:
- Planning: 4+ weeks
- RFP Execution: 4+ weeks
- RFP Evaluation: 2+ weeks
- RFP Award Finalization: 2+ weeks
Other stages that may be required and will add additional time include:
- Site visits
- Vendor presentations or demonstrations
- Engagement of the Legal Office, (i.e. contract review)
- Software projects that require Technology Risk Assessment process to be completed
- Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) required where personal informaion is used.
