The University is providing regularly updated information at https://www.uwo.ca/coronavirus/After extensive consultation with experts about the current situation surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19), Western University cancelled classes starting Friday March 13 up-to and including March 17. Starting Wednesday, March 18, classes will be online through to the end of term. However, the University and university buildings remain open. As you can appreciate, this is a very fluid situation and as mentioned, we are continously monitoring the situation.More detailed information about these changes is available for students, faculty, and staff on our main COVID-19 website.
What is Campus Recreation doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
· Increasing the cleaning schedule to add additional routine cleaning of water fountains, washrooms, change rooms, door handles, railings, and activity spaces
· Increasing the frequency and thoroughness for cleaning of equipment
· Adding hand sanitizer stations at various locations throughout the WSRC
· Closely following the directives of the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Middlesex-London Health Unit
Should new information be shared by public health experts we will revaluate and update our procedures if needed.
