Fitness Industry Myths - #1 Your body has to look a certain way
The truth is, the health of your body is not determined by how it looks. Your body is an instrument for living out the life that matters to you, not an ornament. Instead of focusing on how you look after each of your sessions at the gym, try to focus on how you feel on the inside after. Did you feel powerful lifting heavy today? Did you run faster than you did last time? Did dancing with your friends leave you feeling energized? 2025 Grand Opening: 4th Floor Fitness Space
As of January 3, 2025, Sports & Recreation has opened a brand new 4th Floor Fitness Area in the Western Student Recreation Centre. This new weight room fitness space is managed by Western Campus Recreation, and is housed in the newly retrofitted Blue Gym on the 4th floor of the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC). This new space is an added alternative to Campus Recreation’s original fitness and weight room space, which will continue to be open on the main level of the WSRC, and will help Sports & Recreation adapt to an evolving and growing student body.
