Fall 2026 Intramural Registration Opens September 9
Looking for a great way to stay active, meet new people and get involved at Western this fall? Campus Recreation Intramural Sports are back for Fall 2026, with registration opening Wednesday, September 9 at 8 a.m.
Intramurals offer Western students and Campus Recreation members the chance to enjoy friendly competition in a fun, inclusive environment, with recreational and competitive options available across a wide range of sports.
This fall's lineup includes badminton, ball hockey, basketball, 3-on-3 basketball, Unified Basketball, beach volleyball, dodgeball, flag football, ice hockey, inner-tube water polo, pickleball, slo-pitch, 3-pitch, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 soccer, spikeball, ultimate frisbee and volleyball.
Depending on the sport, men's, women's, co-ed and open leagues are available, with recreational divisions emphasizing fun, participation, fitness and socializing, and competitive divisions for those looking for a higher level of competition.
Don't have a team? No problem! Western students can register as free agents in mosts sports for the opportunity to be placed on a team.
And, of course, there's something else on the line: the chance to earn The Purple Shirt, Western Intramurals' championship tradition.
Fall 2026 Registration
Opens: Wednesday, September 9 at 8 a.m.
Closes: Tuesday, September 22 at 11:59 p.m.
League space is limited and registration is first come, first served, so students are encouraged to register early. Fall league play begins the week of September 27.
Whether you're returning to your favourite sport, trying something completely new or simply looking for a fun way to connect with other students, there's a place for you in Western Intramurals this fall.
