Hellmuth Prizes
From 1997 to 2022, the Hellmuth Prizes for Achievement in Research celebrated research achievements by Western's most distinguished faculty members in all research areas. Two prizes – named after Western's founder, Isaac Hellmuth (1819-1901) – were offered annually: one in an area broadly defined as natural sciences, engineering and health; and one in social sciences, arts and humanities.
