The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is Canada's federal funding agency for health research. CIHR is composed of 13 insitutes nationwide, with its Institute of Aging residing at Western.

NSERC

The Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council is Canada’s largest supporter of discovery and innovation, funding scientific and technical breakthroughs to the benefit of Canadians and the world.

SSHRC

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) is the federal research funding agency that promotes and supports research and training in the humanities and social sciences.

NFRF

New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) is administered by the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat on behalf of Canada’s three research granting agencies, CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC.
