The Office of Human Research Ethics is currently working off site and are not available for in-person meetings at this time.  If you need to contact our office, visit our contact us page and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

**Please note due to the University's holiday closure and the deadlines for delegated review submissions any submission after December 7th cannot be guaranteed a full review until January 2021**

For up-to-date information regarding research during COVID-19, please see our communications page.

The Office of Human Research Ethics, on behalf of Western's Research Ethics Boards, manages the approval and monitoring process for the use of humans in research at the university and its affiliated hospitals and research institutes. All research involving humans conducted by faculty, staff or students at Western or its affiliated hospitals or research institutes must be approved by a Western-sanctioned review board.
