Minor in Gender and Women's Studies

Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies course at the 1000 level (either GSWS 1020E or any two of Black Studies 1030F/G, GSWS 1021F/G, GSWS 1022F/G, GSWS 1024F/G, the former GSWS 1023F/G, the former GSWS 1030F/G) with a mark of at least 60%.

Students beginning Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies after first year may substitute GSWS 2240F/G in place of the first-year requirements and take it concurrently with their second-year courses.

1.0 course from: GSWS 2220E.
2.0 additional courses in GSWS or Black Studies at the 2000 level or above.
1.0 additional course in GSWS or Black Studies at the 2200 level or above.

A student may apply to the Department for approval to substitute 1.0 course from another department provided that the course is relevant to the student's Minor in Gender and Women's Studies.
