Major in Gender and Women's Studies
Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 Gender and Women's Studies (GSWS) credits at the 1000 level (either GSWS 1020E or 1.0 credits from GSWS 1021F/G, GSWS 1022F/G, GSWS 1023F/G, GSWS 1024F/G or GSWS 1030F/G) with a mark of at least 60%, or permission of the Department. Note: Students beginning a module in Gender and Women's Studies after first year may substitute GSWS 2240F/G in place of the 1.0 first year credit requirement and take it concurrently with their second-year courses.
6.0 courses including:
- 1.0 course: GSWS 2220E (required)
- 0.5 course: GSWS 3320F/G (required)
- 1.0 course at the 2100 level or above
- 2.0 courses at the 2200 level or above
- 1.0 course at the 3000 level or above
- 0.5 course at the 4000 level
A student may apply to the Department for approval to substitute 1.0 credit from another department provided that the courses are relevant to the student's Major in Gender and Women's Studies.
