CCAA Training for Teams
The CCAA supports organizations that wish to build internal capacity by training multiple staff members in evidence-informed courses, including the Seniors’ Fitness Instructor Course (SFIC). We are pleased to offer flexible group training options while maintaining the high standards and integrity of our certification programs.
Who is this for?
Organizations or community partners looking to:
- Certify a group of employees, volunteers, or instructors
- Offer senior-specific physical activity programs led by qualified personnel
- Enhance staff skills in line with CCAA training standards
Training Options
Register in Existing Courses
Organizations may register multiple staff in scheduled offerings of CCAA courses (in-person or virtual). Course dates and availability are listed on our website.
Host a Dedicated Group Course
Organizations may request a course delivered exclusively to their staff team. Two delivery options are available:
- In-Person in London, Ontario or Virtual Delivery
- Minimum: 8 participants
- Location: At your organization (within London), at CCAA (Western University), or online via Zoom
- Flexible scheduling coordinated with CCAA staff
- Ideal for teams seeking high-quality, streamlined certification options
- In-Person at Host Location (Outside London, Ontario)
- Minimum: 12 participants
- Host provides or arranges a suitable training space and all required equipment and program enhancers
- CCAA arranges for a certified trainer to deliver the course on-site
- Trainer travel and accommodation costs are waived if 15+ participants are registered
- If 14 or fewer participants, the host organization covers trainer travel and accommodation

- Provide a suitable training space and all necessary equipment (for in-person delivery)
- Commit to CCAA course and certification (if applicable) standards
- Submit a hosting agreement outlining responsibilities and costs
