Invited presentations are delivered by highly-regarded speakers from leading, research-intensive universities for the annual Rechnitzer Lecture Series or for the bi-monthly CCAA Research Seminar Series. Research events spotlight the scholarly work of CCAA Research Associates from diverse disciplines while giving them a platform to present their impactful, innovative research that targets activity, health, well-being and aging.

Rechnitzer Lecture Series

The CCAA Rechnitzer Lecture Series is held annually and given by a highly-regarded researcher in the area of exercise, activity, health, well-being and aging. The Series recognises Dr. Peter Rechnitzer as co-founder of the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. The lecture provides a platform for bringing together its invited speaker with CCAA’s Research Associates to promote scholarly dialogue and to explore research collaborations in the area of exercise, activity, health, well-being and aging.

Research Seminar Series

The CCAA Research Seminar Series provides a platform for CCAA Research Associates and other highly-regarded researchers and graduate students to present findings from their current research or on future directions of research on activity, health, well-being and aging. The Series permits researchers and graduate students to connect and to collaborate with colleagues, community partners, CCAA-certified leadership trainers and facilitators, and senior fitness instructors, among others.
