2023 Chemistry Research Award of Excellence Awarded to Professor Zhifeng Ding

The Research Awards Committee is delighted to announce that Professor Zhifeng Ding has been selected as the 2023 recipient of the Chemistry Research Award of Excellence. Professor Ding has demonstrated an exceptional research track record throughout his career, and especially in the past 5 years. In this time, his group has produced 61 papers, 2 patents, and many research presentations. Professor Ding has recently secured research funding through the highly competitive New Frontiers in Research Fund. Professor Ding received the 2018 Ertl Award from the Ertl Research Center for Electrochemistry and Catalysis, as well as the 2017 CSC W.A.E. McBryde Medal.  

Professor Ding delivered a Departmental seminar on his research advances on February 15, 2023. His lecture was on "Fun with Photoluminescence, Chemiluminescence, Electrochemiluminescence, Radioluminescence and Beyond".
