2023 Canadian Society for Chemistry Travel Awards
Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Canadian Society for Chemistry Travel Awards. There were a lot of excellent applications and the committee did its best to spread the awards to as many groups as possible with priority given to students in their final year and giving oral presentations. Each award recipient will receive a $1000 prize.
Natalie Korkola in the Martin Still Research Group will present her study on “Structural Role of Cadmium and Zinc in Metallothionein Oxidation by Hydrogen Peroxide: The Resilience of Metal–Thiolate Clusters” at the 20th International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry, Adelaide, Australia.
Amrit Singh in the Johanna Blacquiere Research Group will present his study on “Acceptorless Dehydrogenation of Amines using Metal Ligand Cooperative Catalysts” at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, Vancouver, BC.
Yousef Haidar in the Lars Konermann Research Group will present “Studying the Effects of Hydrogen/Deuterium Exchange on Protein Stability in Solution and in the Gas Phase” at the 71st ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics, Houston, Texas.
Zoltan Richter-Bisson Yolanda Hedberg Research Group will present “The Effects of Cobalt and Chromium Ions on the Aggregation of Albumin” at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, Vancouver, BC.
Rongfeng Guan in the Yang Song Research Group will present on “Structural Stability, Dihydrogen Bonding, and Pressure-Induced Polymorphic Transformations in Hydrazine Borane” at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, Vancouver, BC.
