Ella Rose Brown

Research Interests / Specializations: Ella’s research is in the field of feminist art gallery curation; their IRP is interested in how the surroundings (of a piece on display) impact the audience's understanding of the art. This research will consider how the physical structures, accompanying information, and interaction between art pieces impact the viewer’s conclusions.

Khalilah Luchs

Research Interests / Specializations: Khalilah is interested in how systems of oppression are communicated to and interpreted by marginalized individuals and how their responses to these communications affect behaviour, self-image, and health outcomes. Their current research project focuses on representations of trans people in media as explored through the eyes of trans youth.

Patricia Park

Research Interests / Specializations: Patricia is interested in youth studies, female teenage criminality, depiction of teenage girls in the media. Her research project aims to analyze how BIPOC teenage criminality is depicted in the media.

Elyse Smith

Research Interests / Specializations: Élyse is interested in fan culture and the uses of social media, as well as representations of queerness and neurodivergence in the media. Their current research focuses on understanding how these communities interact with mainstream forms of media through community building in online spheres.
