Campus Roads Re-Open (October 11, 2024)
Western and CUPE 2361 have reached a tentative agreement, and CUPE members have now voted to ratify that agreement. With that, CUPE has signaled that they will no longer be picketing at campus entrances.
Western has re-opened all campus roadways this afternoon.
London Transit Commission (LTC) buses will also return to their normal routes through campus, with real-time route information available on the LTC website.
As campus roadways re-open, please prioritize safety while walking, biking or driving through campus. Some reminders for everyone:
- Pedestrians should use sidewalks and crosswalks.
- Cyclists should continue following all traffic rules.
- Motorists should watch for pedestrians and cyclists on and around campus.
It’s important that all of us commit to sharing campus roadways responsibly to keep our community safe.
