Education Internships
Are you passionate about education? Want to gain hands-on experience in the classroom?
Western's Arts & Humanities Internship Program (AHIP) is continuing its partnership with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) and the London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) to offer multiple Teaching Assistant internships in London and the surrounding area in the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 terms.
Students will typically work 10 hours per week over the 12 weeks of the term, and. if eligible, can count the internship for 0.5 academic credit.
Applications are now open!
This page provides all the information you need about these internships, including applications instructions, deadlines, and more.
Internships will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis (or until June 13, 2025 or all placements have been claimed, whichever comes first). This means that you should apply early.
Application Instructions
Read the instructions below carefully before applying.
- Look at the Open Internship List to find a list of all the available placements (teacher, grade, location, etc.).
- Download the Student Information Form and save it to your computer. On this form, you will be asked to indicate your top three placement choices from the Open Internship List.
- Send your resume and Student Information Form to ahintern@uwo.ca. Applications that do not contain both of these will not be considered.
!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Once a student has chosen a placement, we will remove it from the Open Internship List. If you choose a placement after another student has already selected it, we will assign you your choice 2 or 3.
You are responsible for securing transportation to and from your internship placement location. When considering your top three, be sure to take the location into account.
You can choose to do an internship in the Fall term, Winter term, or BOTH the Fall and Winter terms.
