Are you curious about a career in education? Interested in gaining hands-on classroom experience and developing such transferable skills as communication, leadership, and organization?
Apply for a Teaching Assistant Internship through Western’s Arts & Humanities Internship Program (AHIP)!
In partnership with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) and the London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB), AHIP offers multiple Teaching Assistant internships in the fall and winter terms.
Internship Highlights
- When: Fall or Winter term (or both)
- Hours: 120 total (10 hours per week for 12 weeks)
- Credit: 0.5 academic credit (for eligible students)
- Location: schools in the Greater London area

Placements are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, or until all placements are filled--whichever comes first.

Application Instructions
Placements are removed from the list as they are claimed. If your first choice is filled, we will assign your next available option.
Important Notes
- Teacher classroom and school placements are subject to change. If a paired teacher moves to a different classroom or school, we will make every effort to maintain the placement or secure a suitable alternative.
- Transportation: You are responsible for travel to and from your placement. Consider school location, travel time, your class schedule, and other commitments before applying.
- Commitment: Interns must commit to 10 hours per week, attend consistently, and represent the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and Western University in a positive, professional manner.
- LDCSB internships are available only in the Winter term.
