Responsibilities
- Carries out and/or Directs Departments regarding a variety of Human Resources related activities for faculty members (eg: Recruitment, Appointments, Promotion, Tenure & Continuing Status, Performance Evaluation, Salary Increases, Workloads, Sabbaticals, Leaves, Terminations, Retirements)
- Develops and maintains administrative processes and practices related to the Faculty Collective Agreemen
- Interprets and provides advice to colleagues and leaders regarding the rationale for processes and practices related to the UWOFA Collective agreement
- Ensures compliance with Collective Agreements, employee agreements, policies and procedures as well as current legislation to achieve Faculty's missions and objectives
- Acts as a liaison between the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Office of Faculty Relations
- Provides executive administrative support to the Dean and various Faculty governance committees.

Responsibilities
- Supports student success by providing academic advice, support for program planning and course selection, and by adjudicating students for admission, progression and graduation, as well as by innovating and managing retention initiatives, and tracking and analyzing Faculty data relevant to retention.
- Contributes to the development of academic programs within their assigned scope, through work with the Associate Dean Academic (ADA) and Educational Policy committee (EPC) members, and reviewing of Senate Committee on Academic Curriculum and Awards (ACA) and Subcommittee on Undergraduate Academic Courses (SOC) proposals, ensuring that these programs are well-administered and accurately represented in university publications.
- Point of contact for Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions at Western the undergraduate recruitment office and collaborates with FAH departments and programs on outreach initiatives targeting primary and secondary school students. This role leads and manages the Faculty of Arts and Humanities’ outreach portfolio, ensuring that such initiatives align with the University’s strategic goals, and tracks and analyzes recruitment metrics in consultation with the ADA.
Responsibilities
- Provides expert academic guidance and support to students within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
- Serves as the primary contact in Faculty for academic policy relating to programs, degrees, scholarships/awards.
- Contributes to the development of academic programs ensuring that these programs are well-administered and accurately represented in university publications.
- Nominates and approves departmental student nominees for scholarships, graduation awards and gold medals.
- Represents Faculty at internal and external events for student orientation, outreach and retention events.

Responsibilities

- Works with Faculty researchers to conceptualize, review and edit grant and award applications; ensures a coherent and persuasive narrative, inclusive of knowledge mobilization and EDID considerations.

Responsibilities
- Oversees the administrative and logistical functions of the Arts and Humanities Internship Program (AHIP) and the School for Advanced Studies in the Arts and Humanities (SASAH) Experiential Learning Program.
- Develops strategies to establish and maintain relationships with employers and to market and promote the faculty’s experiential learning programs.
- Creates information educational and promotional resources for students, increasing their awareness of opportunities and support, and collaborates on planning and coordinating various related workshops and events.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for the smooth and effective operation of the Arts and Humanities Internship Program (AHIP).
- Serves as a resource and point of contact for students, community partners, employers, leaders, faculty members, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinates student applications for internship placements and facilitates the preparation of letters, contracts, and assignments.
- Maintains databases and curates the AHIP website, and collaborates on various promotional and educational materials for distribution both inside and outside of the university.
- Engages with current and prospective employer partners and posts internship opportunities.
