Carries out and/or Directs Departments regarding a variety of Human Resources related activities for faculty members (eg: Recruitment, Appointments, Promotion, Tenure & Continuing Status, Performance Evaluation, Salary Increases, Workloads, Sabbaticals, Leaves, Terminations, Retirements) Develops and maintains administrative processes and practices related to the Faculty Collective Agreement Interprets and provides advice to colleagues and leaders regarding the rationale for processes and practices related to the UWOFA Collective agreement Ensures compliance with Collective Agreements, employee agreements, policies and procedures as well as current legislation to achieve Faculty's missions and objectives Acts as a liaison between the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Office of Faculty Relations Provides executive administrative support to the Dean and various Faculty governance committees.

Research Interest/Specialization
Oversees the administrative and logistical functions of the Arts and Humanities Internship Program (AHIP) and the School for Advanced Studies in the Arts and Humanities (SASAH) Experiential Learning Program. Develops strategies to establish and maintain relationships with employers and to market and promote the faculty’s experiential learning programs. Creates information educational and promotional resources for students, increasing their awareness of opportunities and support, and collaborates on planning and coordinating various related workshops and events.

Research Interest/Specialization
Provides expert academic guidance and support to students within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Serves as the primary contact in Faculty for academic policy relating to programs, degrees, scholarships/awards. Contributes to the development of academic programs ensuring that these programs are well-administered and accurately represented in university publications. Nominates and approves departmental student nominees for scholarships, graduation awards and gold medals. Represents Faculty at internal and external events for student orientation, outreach and retention events.

Works with Senior Leadership to develop and implement a range of strategic initiatives, processes, and plans to action the priorities of the Faculty. Collaborates with the Associate Dean, Research, to identify and curate opportunities for Arts & Humanities researchers that align with individual research programs and Faculty priorities. Works with Faculty researchers to conceptualize, review and edit grant and award applications; ensures a coherent and persuasive narrative, inclusive of knowledge mobilization and EDID considerations. Plans, develops, and executes events and commitments with University and community partners that align with Faculty's strategic goals.

Develops fully integrated communication strategies and plans for new initiatives. Prioritizes communication of Faculty’s teaching and scholarship strengths to a variety of public audiences across multiple platforms. Supports recruitment of prospective students and fosters relationships with current students and alumni. Oversees Faculty’s website, social media, print and digital communications platforms and supports Faculty events.

Provides computer assistance to all staff and faculty. Manages exam laptop reservation and Skype Kit inquiries. Oversees Faculty software and hardware purchasing. Collaborates with the Dean’s Office and SASAH Director as well as internal and external stakeholders, to develop and coordinate curricula-focused programs and engagement initiatives Develops and facilitates a suite of academic and civically connected public and pedagogical programs, including courses, peer groups, workshops, networking events, conferences, speakers, and tours Coordinates the evaluation of programs, and supports the day-to-day administrative, human resources, financial and logistical functions of the various programs. Participates in the development of marketing materials, identifies and acts on opportunities to increase awareness of programs and seeks out sponsorship for programming.
