Paul Eluchok
Legal Counsel
Paul Eluchok is an experienced lawyer with nearly two decades of practice spanning higher education and private practice. Since 2018, he has served as Senior Legal Counsel at Western University, where he advises on a wide range of legal matters including procurement, intellectual property, litigation, governance, student affairs, and corporate issues. His work ensures the University navigates complex challenges with clarity, compliance, and confidence.
From 2013 to 2017, Paul was part of Western’s University Secretariat, where he focused on legal, privacy, and access-to-information matters. Prior to his work in higher education, Paul practiced at a local law firm in real estate, estates, and corporate/commercial law, giving him a strong foundation in serving both organizational and individual clients.
Paul is an active member of the Canadian Association of University Solicitors, the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and the COU Legal Counsel group. Beyond his professional practice, he has contributed extensively to the community, serving on the boards of the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario and the Children’s Safety Village. He is currently Chair of the Advisory Board for the Canadian Universities Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (CURIE).
Paul holds an Honours BA from Western University and a LL.B from Queen’s University. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2006.
