Chris Alleyne
Associate Vice-President (Housing & Ancillary Services)
Chris Alleyne is responsible for the Division of Housing & Ancillary Services, which includes the Departments of Housing, Hospitality Services, and Retail Services. The division employs a workforce of 1,300 employees who take care of the campus community, 24/7. Chris is also responsible for the University liquor license and the third-party providers who operate the University Child Care and Spencer Hotel & Conference Centre.
Prior to his appointment in 2018, Chris held various leadership positions within the Housing Department over a 15-year span, including Director of Residences and Associate Director of Residence Engagement. He also provided interim leadership to the Vice-Provost (Students) portfolio in 2021-22.
Chris is a Western alumni with an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and received his MBA from Royal Roads University where he was recognized with the Chancellor's Award. He was named to London's Top 20 under 40 in 2018 and received a Western Award of Excellence in 2014. Chris has served on the Boards of the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers, and The Grand Theatre in London.
