Eligibility

Students are eligible to apply for the Science Internship Program if they satisfy the following approval criteria. Students must be:

• Currently enrolled full-time* in the 3rd year of a 4-year program (or in your fourth year if you will be returning for a 5th year to complete your program) in the Faculty of Science/BMSc Program.
• In good academic standing
• In good standing With the Faculty of Science
• Returning to Western Science after the internship to complete your undergraduate degree.
• Have completed at least 5.0 credits at Western.

* Students registered with Accessible Education are considered full-time if enrolled in 40% of a full-time course load (i.e. 1.0 credit or more per term). Please advise the Co-op Program Coordinator if you are registered with Accessible Education and have been approved for a reduced course load.

Online registration opens August 19, 2024, for 2024/2025 internship at WesternConnect:

1. Click "Internship/Co-op" on the left.
2. Click "Apply to Program" on the right.
3. Select “Science Internship”and follow the instructions (answer the questions)

4. Finish by clicking "Submit Application" only once and wait until the confirmation page appears.

Once we have your information, your application will be reviewed. 

We will contact you regarding your approval to the Program in late September.

Once approved, we will:

• Invite you to begin Science 3391.
• Assist you with your cover letter and résumé development.
• Give you access to Science Internship job postings.
