Western’s International Collaborating Institutions
Between 2013-2017, institutions in nine countries had the most intensive student mobility activity and research publication collaborations with Western. The ranked list can be found in this table.
Institutions with existing agreements with Western are marked with an asterisk. Also identified are institutions that are members of regional groupings of leading research-oriented universities. The regional groupings are as follows: China’s C-9 Consortium (CC9), Leading European Research Universities (LERU), The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU), Association of American Universities (AAU), The Russell Group (RG), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and Australia’s Go8 (Go8). Western is a member of Canada’s U-15 Group of Canadian Research Universities. Each institution’s 2019 QS world universities ranking (WUR) is indicated.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.
