Counselling and Mental Health Support

Welcome to Mental Health Services!

We provide short-term support to help students who are experiencing stress, distress, or mental health difficulties in their lives. Our work is symptom and solution focused and is provided by an interprofessional group of mental health professionals.

Our services are funded through provincial health care (excluding Quebec) or through the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP). Undergraduate and graduate students have extended coverage (e.g. prescriptions, dental care) through PurpleCare and SOGS Health & Dental, respectively. For a full list of covered services, please review their plan offerings.

Before accessing counselling or medical services, you first need to register with Health & Wellness Services.
