Wellness and Well-being Services

Health & Wellness provides professional and confidential services, free of charge, to students needing assistance to meet their personal, social and academic goals. Services include consultation, referral, groups and workshops, as well as brief, change-oriented psychotherapy.

  • Mental & Physical Health Services: Appointments can be booked online, by calling 519-661-3030 or by visiting Thames Hall, room 2170. Same-day or next-day appointments may be available for students seeking support.
  • Crisis Supports: For students in crisis, resources can be found here.
  • Wellness Education: Resources for stress management and healthy habits.
  • Western Campus Recreation Drop-in fitness spaces, open swim, and recreational sports are available throughout the exam season.

Financial Services Counselling

If you have concerns about your educational finances and need to discuss them confidentially, make an appointment with a Student Financial Aid Officers. During your appointment, topics of discussion may include: reviewing your OSAP entitlement, applying for financial assistance, developing a personal budget, student financial planning, debt management advice or emergency financial assistance.


University Student Council Services and Supports

The University Students’ Council (USC) is a student-led organization that first and foremost exists to advocate for and represent undergraduate students at Western University. Each day, we work to support, improve and enhance your student experience, because we believe that students have the power to change the world.


Food Support Services

Food Support Services is a USC student service dedicated to relieving hunger among Western undergraduate students, helping to enable the full participation of students facing barriers of food insecurity. With the rising costs of tuition, housing, childcare, and food, many students are struggling. They provide essential support to Western students.

Western Free Store

The Free Store is a space for campus community members to donate items they no longer want and take home things for free.
