What do you like most about your program?

I love how diverse philosophy is, and how many different fields of study it covers. I love the philosophical approach and how it allows one to come at a problem from a different perspective. Philosophy gets you to think, and that’s why I love it so much.

“Socrates once said: ‘an unexamined life is not worth living.’ Make sure that throughout your university experience, you are questioning your unconscious biases, reflecting upon your values, and revising and recreating them as you go. Be contemplative, be self-critical, and continue to strive to be a better version of yourself each and every day.”

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Be open to new opportunities and stay open-minded! A&H is a diverse faculty with a lot of interesting courses, you never know what will pique your interest! Utilize the resources on and off-campus, and get involved in the university community!
