“I’ve always enjoyed doing research and it’s something I see myself doing in the future. However, I wasn’t really sure of the type of opportunities available outside academic institutions. Through the internship program I’ve gained valuable insights on research in an industrial setting and learned that it can be as exciting as research in academia. Going forward, I feel more reassured than before, knowing that there are jobs available outside of academia where I would still be able to do what I enjoy.”
