Nikon Inverted Imaging System with Yokogawa CSU-W1 Spinning Disk Confocal

Sample images from the Nikon Inverted Microscope

A unique, fully integrated microscopy system, the first of its kind in North America, offers:

  • Confocal imaging: using a 7 laser line ZIVA light engine coupled with a Yokogawa CSU-W1 spinning disk confocal head.
  • Widefield fluorescence imaging: 5 wavelengths of LED excitation from UV-near IR
Automatic Deconvolution and Clarify/Denoise/Restore “AI”: for crisp, stunning fluorescent images.Nikon Inverted Microscope
  • Brightfield Colour Imaging: LED illumination produces crisp images with perfect colour reproduction and even, flat background.
  • Full Slide Scanning: is easy to set up using NIS Elements
  • Chlorophyll and Reflectance Imaging Modes: For speciality samples such as plants, algae, hard surfaces, biomaterials, and cells grown on opaque backgrounds.
  • Live cell imaging: Available stage top incubator offers heat, humidity and CO2 control for single dishes or chamber slides. The instrument is housed in a level 2 Biosuite featuring a CO2 incubator and biosafety cabinet, as well as a small workbench for sample prep.
  • Fully Automatic Operation with NIS Elements AR: Advanced Research package featuring automatic focus, large image scanning, mark and relocate sites of interest, create 3D Z-stacks, film time series images of dynamic processes.
  • Full NIS Elements GA3 Analysis suite: Available on remote, networked workstation for 3D rendering and animations as well as advanced image analysis in all dimensions. (See our Image Analysis Page for details)
