Animal Care & Veterinary Services

Animal Care & Veterinary Services (ACVS) supports researchers in their quest to discover solutions to the world's most pressing challenges, while ensuring the highest standards of ethics and care in animal-based science.

ACVS is dedicated to moving safe and ethical animal research forward for Western and its affiliates by offering the following services:

  • Managing four on-campus animal care facilities
  • Research veterinary services for Western and its affiliates
  • Research animal procurement at Western
