Faculty Scholars Award

The Faculty Scholars Award recognizes significant achievements in teaching or research. The recipients are considered all-around scholars and will hold the title of Faculty Scholar for two years and receive $7,000 each year for scholarly activities.

The Edward G. Pleva Award for Excellence in Teaching

The Edward G. Pleva Award for Excellence in Teaching was established to recognize continuing members of full-time faculty (appointed either as Limited Term or Tenured) at Western and at its Affiliated University Colleges.

The Marilyn Robinson Award for Excellence in Teaching

Established in 1996-97, the Award for Excellence in Teaching was established to be awarded based on evidence of outstanding contributions in the area of the classroom, laboratory or clinical instruction. The award was later named after Physiology professor and Educational Development Office coordinator Marilyn Robinson, who became captivated with the idea of exciting students by means of active learning and problem-solving.

Western University's Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching

Western University's Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching is co-presented by The University Student's Council and Western's Alumni Association to provide support and recognition for the innovative teaching methods and techniques demonstrated by Western's finest faculty members.
