Elena Athanasopoulos

Elena-AthanasopoulosI have always had a love for languages since a young age and was eager to learn new ones. I grew up in a bilingual household, speaking both Greek and English, and later learned French and Spanish in school. My interest in linguistics began during my high school years. However, it flourished during my undergraduate studies as a Modern Languages (Spanish) and Psychology major with a certificate in Second Language Education, where I developed particular interests in phonetics and language acquisition. I am in my first year of the M.A. in Linguistics and am curious about researching bilingualism, child language development, and the linguistic analysis of speech disorders in Speech-Language Pathology.
