Nursing professor named AMS Healthcare Fellow

allana_s_272x306.jpgCongratulations to Nursing professor Saleema Allana, who has been named by AMS Healthcare among a group of 12 Fellows in Compassion and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The AMS Healthcare Fellowship recognizes leaders who are working to address how compassion and technology will work together to address the exponential changes occurring in healthcare today. Leaders that can evolve the way people think about healthcare.

Professor Allana's work examines the intersection of cardiovascular health, intersectionality/health equity and technology for the most vulnerable populations. Through this Fellowship, she will explore what compassion, equity, trust and a productive patient-provider relationship means for South Asian immigrants, in the context of virtual care.
