Our Signature Pedagogy
The foundation of the CSD program lies in active, authentic, and experiential learning, as these teaching approaches align with our belief that students learn best by doing. Our programs prepare students for professional excellence by engaging students in diverse experiences within lecture-based, authentic, and clinical practice contexts.
Active, authentic, and experiential learning activities equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to navigate complex clinical populations and environments by cultivating critical thinking, collaboration, and professional confidence. These pedagogical approaches prepare learners to meet the competency standards required for practice in audiology and speech-language pathology and to provide skilled, compassionate, and evidence-informed client- and family-centred care.
