Megan J. Davey Opportunity Fund

The Megan J. Davey Opportunity Fund was founded by Professor Ken Davey and family in honour of their daughter, Megan. Dr. Megan Davey was a talented and dedicated faculty member at Western’s Department of Biochemistry in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. As such the Megan J. Davey Opportunity Fund has been established to support new faculty members at Western in experimental life science whose research explores cellular and molecular organization. 

Award Value: $7,000

Eligibility

This award recognizes, promotes, and supports early career faculty members at Western University. For this opportunity, early career status is defined as within ten years of the applicant's first faculty appointment at any university. 

The award is offered to full-time, research eligible early career faculty members currently pursuing research in experimental life sciences focusing on cellular and molecule organization. Researchers will have an opportunity to specifically define how their research meets this requirement in the application form.
