SSHRC Explore Reapplication
This funding opportunity is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) through its Institutional Grants (SIG) program and is administered by Western Research.
Through the SIG program, SSHRC provides annual block grants to help eligible Canadian postsecondary institutions fund, through their own merit review processes, small-scale research and research-related activities by their faculty and students in the social sciences and humanities. SIG funds are intended to help Canadian postsecondary institutions strengthen research excellence in the social sciences and humanities. In alignment with SSHRC's Indigenous Research Statement of Principles, this opportunity also welcomes applications involving Indigenous research.
The SSHRC Explore Reapplication program has been redesigned to support immediate (next grant cycle) reapplication to SSHRC Insight, Insight Development, Partnership Development, and Partnership (Stage 1 and Stage 2) grants for applicants who are not successful in the most recent competition and who meet minimum rank requirements. This is an invite-only competition.
Award Value:
- Insight Development Grants: $5,000
- Insight Grants: $10,000
- Partnership Development Grants: $5,000
- Partnership Grants (Stage 1): $7,000
- Partnership Grants (Stage 2): $10,000
Award funding as noted above is for a one-year term.
