Understandably, with decisions announced this week, many students have been inquiring about final exams.
Students will not be required to come back to campus to write final exams.
Final exams will not take place in-person.
Students who want to and are able to go home should not hold off from making necessary arrangements.
For students living on campus, who wish to stay, our residences remain open and fully operational.
More details regarding exams will be forthcoming in the days ahead.
Resources for faculty and teaching assistants moving classes online
Starting Wednesday, March 18 and for the remainder of the term, Western will be moving its classes online and is offering a variety of options to help faculty and teaching assistants.
Workshops and webinars to help with the transition to online delivery of the remaining course content will take place on March 16-17. The webinars will be recorded and made available online.
The Instructional Resources and Technology Centre and Centre for Teaching and Learning are offering virtual and in-person consultations to assist instructors, and The Help Desk at Western Technology Services (WTS) will have extended hours.
More information about these supports as well as strategies and tools for rapidly converting courses to an online format is available on the Centre for Teaching and Learning’s website.
Technical support with eLearning tools need to be directed to the WTS Helpdesk.
Instructors who need assistance choosing or applying tools should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
