Throughout the Faculty of Health Sciences, four program options are available for students from the School of Health Studies wishing to pursue graduate-level opportunities in the area of Health Studies.
The Government of Canada recently announced a cap on new study permits. We have been assured that this cap will not affect incoming Master’s or Doctoral applicants.

Health Equity and Sustainability (MHSc)
Prepares graduates to address environmental, socio-economic, and political factors that shape health across the life course.
Applied Health Sciences (Master's and Diploma options)
This fully-online graduate program encourages students to leverage their own experience and emphasizes authentic, case-based learning. The program’s foundations are health promotion and education, evidence-informed health interventions and efficient and effective supports for individuals throughout the lifespan.
Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (MSc/PhD)
Western’s research-based graduate program in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS) provides students with an opportunity to explore issues related to health and wellness across nine fields of study and from a variety of perspectives.
Combined Professional Programs
Students to pursue a clinical master’s degree in one of four areas of rehabilitation while expanding their knowledge and pursuing a PhD in a field of study related to their clinical training.
