Neuroscientists at the Western Centre for Brain and Mind (Previously the Brain and Mind Institute) received $3.55 million from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and Ontario Research Fund, for “Next-generation human cognitive neuroscience for real-world applications”.
Functional near-infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), is an optical brain monitoring technique which uses near-infrared spectroscopy for the purpose of funtional neuroimaging. The funds will enable the purchase of cutting-edge equipment advancing the research taking place by the ORNG investigators.
