Ingrid Johnsrude and Jody Culham, Next-Generation Human Cognitive Neuroscience for Real-World Applications, The Brain & Mind @ Western  $3.55M

Neuroscientists at the Western Centre for Brain and Mind (Previously the Brain and Mind Institute) received $3.55 million from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and Ontario Research Fund, for “Next-generation human cognitive neuroscience for real-world applications”. 

Functional near-infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), is an optical brain monitoring technique which uses near-infrared spectroscopy for the purpose of funtional neuroimaging. The funds will enable the purchase of cutting-edge equipment advancing the research taking place by the ORNG investigators.
