Helen Jefferson Lenskyj Research Files

Professor emerita Helen LenskyjProfessor emerita (University of Toronto) Helen Lenskyj donated her collection of research files to the International Centre for Olympic Studies in 2015. The file collection will be accessible in the ICOS Reading Room. The collection consists of photocopies of archival documents, newspaper clippings, and notes compiled by Professor Lenskyj in the course of her research career.

Over several decades, Professor Lenskyj has examined gender issues in sport, in particular as they articulate to the influence of the Olympic industry, from a critical perspective. She is the author of several books on the issue, including, The Best Olympics Ever? Social Impacts of Sydney 2000 (Albany, NY: State University of New York Press, 2002), and, Gender Politics and the Olympic Industry (Basingstoke, New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2013).
