Phase One: Submit online application

• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, including bachelor's degree(s) and any other advanced courses or degrees obtained.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Supplemental Application Form, including:
  
  • Total active practice hours worked as a Registered Nurse
  • Proof of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligibility for registration if applicable)
• Verification of RN Employment Form, showing a minimum of 3,640 hours of RN practice within the past five years

Phase Two:
Applicants who advance through the initial application review will be invited to participate in Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs). MMIs provide an opportunity for applicants to demonstrate qualities that are important for success in graduate nursing education and Nurse Practitioner practice, including communication, critical thinking, professionalism, leadership and ethical decision-making. The interview process helps the admissions committee identify candidates who are well-suited to the program and the NP role. Applicants with significant travel constraints, such as those residing outside the province or country, may be offered a virtual interview option.

The Graduate Program Admissions Committee accepts all applications that meet the minimum academic average of 78% (B+) and the minimum requirement of 3,640 hours of RN practice experience. Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of each applicant’s:

• Past academic achievement
• Curriculum vitae (CV)
• Amount and type of RN practice experience
• Evidence of professional engagement and leadership activities
• Performance in the admissions interview, including demonstration of oral communication skills, critical thinking, professional judgment, and readiness for nurse practitioner education and practice
• Alignment of the applicant’s experience, goals, strengths, and preparedness with the program’s objectives

Offers of admission are made following review of academic qualifications, professional experience, and the admissions interview process. Successful applicants may accept their admission offers online.
