Western's Self-Defence Training

Western Special Constable Service, Western Wellness & Wellbeing, and Sports & Recreation are partnering to offer this free, hands-on self-defence training opportunity.

Learn practical skills to identify risks, trust your instincts, use your voice and respond to situations involving physical harm. No previous self-defence or martial arts experience is required.

The training is offered in a private group setting and is open to female and non-binary Western students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests ages 16 and older.

The program is based on the RAD System and has been adapted for the Western community.

Session Details
Dates: November 4, 5 & 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Convergence Centre (999 Collip Circle) and West Campus St. James Room
Cost: Free

A $20 deposit is required with registration and will be refunded in full upon successful completion of the course.

Participants must attend all three sessions (November 4-6).
