Dr. Laeyendecker has over three decades of experience in infectious disease research, with major contributions to HIV epidemiology, incidence testing, viral transmission, and population health. As Director of the HIV Incidence CORE for the HIV Prevention Trials Network, he has played a leading role in developing and validating innovative approaches to measuring HIV incidence worldwide. His research has also expanded to emerging infectious diseases, including SARS-CoV-2, with important contributions to serology, immunity, and epidemiologic surveillance. Dr. Laeyendecker is an internationally recognized investigator with nearly 300 scientific publications and numerous awards for scientific performance, innovation, and mentorship.
