NEW DIRECTIONS IN THE STUDY OF THE POLITICAL HISTORY OF THE KURDS IN THE MIDDLE EAST

The past decade has ushered in significant developments in the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, and Syria. During this same period, Kurdish fortunes have not changed much in Iran.

How did the Kurds get here and how will these changes shape Kurdish relations with the states they inhabit? This panel will shed light on these questions and suggest new directions in the study of Kurdish political history in the Middle East.
