Human Research Ethics from a Research on Teaching and Learning Perspective
In this online session, Dr. Trevor Bieber, an Ethics Specialist with the Non-Medical Research Ethics Board, will provide an overview of research ethics considerations for faculty members who do research on their teaching. Trevor will orient attendees to the federal and institutional mandates for conducting research with humans, highlight the process for obtaining Research Ethics Board (REB) approval, direct attendees to useful resources, provide specific recommendations to address common issues in conducting research on teaching and learning, and answer any questions you may have.
