Disability-Inclusive Communication Workshop
We've been reminded that, as dentists, we are here to be of service to our patients. We all want to give our patients the best care we can, and that includes making sure patients with disabilities feel just as welcome and supported in our chairs. As we build our clinical skills, we also need to learn how to adapt our communication skills, so each patient feels heard, respected, and involved in their care.
Joint us on Saturday, November 14, from 9 AM-1 PM on the Main Clinic floor for our Disability-Inclusive Communication Workshop! We'll work together in small groups with facilitators to explore eight patient scenarios, ask questions, and practice communication approaches we can bring into our own appointments.
It's a chance to learn alongside your classmates and become more confident in providing the care our patients deserve.
Lunch is provided afterward! Register by November 6.
