Future Prof Workshop: Teaching Research Skills in Partnership with Western Libraries
Graduate students and teaching assistants are often expected to either have (or to help students develop) research skills, despite receiving limited opportunities to learn these skills themselves. This session explores how librarians can serve as partners in this work, offering expertise in information literacy, research skills instruction, and student learning support. Jason Dyck from Western Libraries will introduce the resources, teaching supports, and collaboration opportunities available to help TAs and graduate instructors integrate research skill development into their teaching.
