Teaching in the Canadian Classroom

Teaching in the Canadian Classroom (TCC) is a 20-hour certificate program composed of 15 in-person class hours (including 2 microteaching sessions) and 5 hours of asynchronous online work. This program is designed for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars who want to enhance their teaching through a socio-cultural lens. Participants will be added to a Brightspace site two business days before the first in-person session to complete asynchronous online preparation work. 

 

Required, in-person classes will run on campus:

  • Thursday, October 8th, 10:00AM - 4:00PM 
  • Friday, October 9th - 10:00AM - 4:00PM
  • Saturday, October 10th - 10:00AM - 4:00PM 

Microteaching sessions with smaller groups will be organized for the afternoons on the second and third in-person days of the program. 

After successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
